What is WordPress?

WordPress utilizes a database to store/display the content of your website, and templates to control the design/layout. You simply log in to the admin side of your website via your web browser (no special software is needed), and you can create new pages, make any edits to content, insert images, etc. The page editor is similar to Microsoft Word, and allows you to format text, insert images and other media, links, etc.

How much does WordPress cost?

WordPress is an open source software, free to use, and is popular with both businesses and individuals.

What are the advantages of WordPress?

Several customizable plug-ins (contact forms, SEO tools, photo galleries, polls/surveys, mailing lists/newsletters, etc) are available for free to extend WordPress’ capabilities, making your website scalable, and able to grow with your business.

Is WordPress easy to use?

The majority of new sites we build run on either WordPress or Drupal (another CMS platform which is better suited for large-scale websites). Many of our clients, who have no technical knowledge or experience, have found WordPress to be easy to use.
